Optometrist

Dr. Kristi Schied graduated from Billings Senior High and what is known now as Montana State University Billings with a Biology degree. Dr. Schied obtained her doctor of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry in 1995. After graduating from Optometry school, she returned to Billings and started her practice alongside her father, Syl Schied, who has been in business as an optician for over 50 years.  She also enjoys working alongside her brother who is an ABO certified optician.

Dr. Schied provides comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages.  She enjoys fitting specialty contact lenses along with monitoring and treating eye disease such as dry eye, macular degeneration and glaucoma.  Dr. Schied is a past president of the Montana Optometric Association and has served on several committees in the association.   She currently also serves on the Montana State Board of Optometry.  She has been a member of the American Optometric Association for over 25 years.  She was previously the optometrist for the Billings Bulls Hockey team and has volunteered for many athletic and other activities her son participated in.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, shopping, and skiing.  Dr. Schied, her husband Dennis, and their son, Jaden enjoy traveling to beaches where they snorkel and dive.

Optometrist

Dr. Rob Gaskill was born in Billings, Montana and graduated from Laurel High School.  Recently, he was inducted into the Laurel High School Hall of Fame for his wresting and academic achievements.   He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Visual Sciences from Pacific University in Oregon where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.   In 1994, Dr. Gaskill received his doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry where he graduated with honors.  

Dr. Gaskill returned to Billings where he has worked in practices with an emphasis on evaluating and treating patients with ocular health problems such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetes.  He enjoys building relationships with his patients.

Dr. Gaskill enjoys spending time with his wife, Kyra and daughter.  On his days away from the office you will find him enjoying the outdoors: camping, fly fishing, or hunting.
